Saying that I’m excited to be heading back out to the best coast with the Quotient team for their National Sales Meeting at the beginning of next year would be an understatement. Of course, I relish any chance to visit California, but this trip will be an extra special one. Why? Because I’ll have the chance to share a behind-the-scenes look at my world with the Quotient team over the course of the three days that I’ll be spending with them.

Getting the chance to share what makes our industry so unique and ever changing is always a highlight for me. But of course, getting to hit the road to do so makes it even more fun.

Because, after all, getting to travel like I do is one of my favorite things about my job. I’ve definitely honed in on how to pack like a pro for work trips over the course of the last few years, and I’m going to share my top three tips with y’all today. Using these three tips, I’ve been able to not check a bag for any flight in the last two years – even when I’m going for up to a week. So hopefully they’re just as helpful for you the next time you hit the road – whether it be for work or for fun!

Plan It Out

Whenever I’m packing for any trip, but especially a work trip, I plan out each outfit I’m going to be wearing down to the socks and the shoes. This makes it much, much easier to pack efficiently and not over-pack. Plus, it means that you’ll wake up knowing what you’re going to wear every day. That means no more waking up in a panic or running late for a presentation or meeting when you’re on the road.

Pack Light

This ties back to planning out your outfits. It should go without saying, but don’t over-pack. Plan out everything you’re wearing while you’re packing, and it makes it even easier to not check a bag – meaning that you’ll never have to worry about losing a bag and not having what you need!

Bring Options

Slightly counterintuitive to what I just said, yes, but also important. Because we all know what you have planned out in your head may not actually work after all. I always bring one to two alternatives to what I had planned – just in case. Because it’s better to be safe than sorry, right?

About NSM

Each year, Quotient holds their National Sales Meeting (NSM). The meeting spans 3 days and varies in location from year to year. It is a chance for Quotient’s sales and collaborative teams to get together for a few days and kick off the new year of opportunities.

The event is equally celebratory as it is educational. Throughout the course of the week, company leaders will speak about exciting company priorities and seek to motivate the team for the upcoming year. There are also a number of fun, yet educational opportunities like team breakout sessions and evening activities where the attendees celebrate the previous year’s accomplishments and recognize outstanding individuals.

This year is extra special, as two members of Ahalogy’s influencer network will be joining the team in Napa Valley to meet and help educate attendees about the influencer industry. Read more about Kentucky Gent here.
